In short, Joel spent his 20’s marrying & being educated, his 30’s growing a family & practicing law, his 40’s leading a faith-based non-profit, and is enjoying his 50’s putting what he’s learned into practice.
Joel graduated from Abilene Christian University with a Bachelor of Science in AgBusiness and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. He then received a Master of Science in Agricultural Economics from Oklahoma State University and a Juris Doctor from the University of Oklahoma, College of Law. He has been a member of the Oklahoma Bar Association since 1998 and is a past member of Tulsa Title and Probate Lawyers Association.
His law practice concentrates on real estate transactions, residential and commercial. Examining title to real estate is his primary focus. However, he also has experience drafting real estate contracts, deeds, notes and mortgages, and curative instruments.
After 8 years practicing law, Joel took a 10-year sabbatical to lead a faith-based §501(c)(3) not-for-profit corporation addressing needs and planting seeds of hope with families living in low-income neighborhoods in Tulsa.
In 2015, Joel returned to practice law on a part-time basis while pursuing coaching training with the Gallup Organization and the Professional Christian Coaching Institute. Joel became a Gallup-Certified CliftonStrengths Coach in 2016. Now in addition to examining title to real property, Joel coaches & consults people & organizations helping them get their work done with excellence & developing their leadership.
